Canine Capers, Falkirk - 10th July 2011
This is the third year of the Canine Capers event. Organised by Green Dog Walkers along with the Falkirk Council Outdoor Access Rangers, FC Litter Strategy Team, AG Vets of Bonnybridge, Apex Vets of Denny and Pets at Home co-sponsoring the 3rd annual CANINE CAPERS held in Dollar Park, Falkirk on Sunday 10th July. The Green Walkers is a volunteer-based campaign backed by Falkirk Council which aims to raise awareness and change attitudes about dog fouling issues.
It was a great day for the whole family, taking part on the day were Scottish Kennel Club, SNH, Scottish Canine Consultative Council, German Shepherd Rescue, SSPCA, Falkirk Rotary Club, No Cold Dogs Toys, The Pack, A&G Vets, Apex Vets, Safe Paws, CGI, Friends of Dollar Park's GDW Group, dog portrait, face painting, dog toy/treat vendors. There was shows from Quack Commandos (featuring herding sheep dog and runner ducks) and Grangemouth Dog Club demonstrations.
We raised a fantastic £423! Thank you to Canine Capers for allowing us to have a stall and microchip. Would also like to thank all our volunteers who came along to help. We had lots of boxer visitors as you can see from the photos below.
