BWS Coffee Morning - Dec 2008
Boxer Welfare Scotland hosted a coffee morning at Hope Rooms, Forth St, North Berwick on Saturday 6th December 2008. Mary Galazka has been caretaker there for 20 years and kindly organised for BWS to hold their own coffee morning.
Carrie and Mary arranged a fantastic day and raised a fantastic £870!!
There were bric-a-brac stalls, raffle, tombola, guess the dog's name, guess the doll's birthday and home baking galore.
A huge thank you to everyone who went along, especially Carrie and Mary for arranging the whole event. The stall helpers were: Ray, Lisa, Shona, Darryl, Teena, Rebecca, Bunty, Alexander and Hazel. Tea Ladies: Cath, Sheila and Rosie helped out with the dishes.
Local shops also donated raffle prizes /vouchers, Andersons Butchers, Catkins Flower shop, Turnballs hardware, Buttercup cafe, Fergusons Chemist, Seatons Painters, Newsagents and Heemskirk Flowers and Ship Inn. So many of the community baked and donated raffle/tombola gave cash donations. A lovely lady donated doll with knitted clothes and knitted mittens for adults. Hand knitted tiny stockings filled with sweets were also donated and Mary donated handmade cards, as did the local art group.
