Adoption Fee
Please be aware that there is a non-refundable, donation of £250 required for each adopted boxer. In some cases, this donation may be negotiable, especially if someone is taking on an older boxer, or one with health issues.
This £250 donation for each rehomed rescue boxer is not a fee for that particular dog, but a donation to the charity funds. The donation for each dog helps towards:
- KENNELLING COSTS: all our dogs are kept in private kennels and some can spend anything up to 6 months in our care. All dogs are charged at the same rate, no matter what their age.
- VETERINARY FEES: most dogs that come into our care require vaccinations and some require medical attention while they are in our care. In some cases, we also continue to pay for ongoing health conditions, once the dog has been rehomed.
- NEUTERING COSTS: most dogs that come into our care have not been neutered and we are responsible for meeting the costs of this proceedure, once the dog has been rehomed.
- MICROCHIPPING: most dogs that come into our care have not been microchipped and we carry this out before a dog is rehomed.
- ADVERTISING: whilst we try and keep our advertising costs to a minimum, we do have to advertise to find homes for our dogs. A lot of time is spent procurring cheap or free advertising to help save rescue funds.
- GENERAL EXPENSES: general every day costs of running the charity, including website fees, administrative costs, accountant fees and much more.
Please note, you will be expected to pay the donation, in cash, on the day of adoption. If you do not have your donation, you will not be able to take the boxer home with you.
