Good grief I am totally exhausted, we all are! August has been such a busy month for me I can tell you. Oh ok and for everyone else, but you aren’t here to read about everyone else are you, you just want to know about me!
As you can see George and Trevor are just as tired, but they will insist on jumping on my seat when I am sleeping, what’s a girl to do?! Mum said that August was one of the busiest months for BWS and that on one weekend over £1,600 was raised! Of course I did my bit and we have been travelling around various car shows showing me off (they think it’s the cars that important, but I beg to differ!) Apparently, the total fundraising for the whole of August was around £2,400! It’s not often I am lost for words but, l that’s just amazing isn’t it? Mum says that we have the best team at Boxer Welfare Scotland and I think she’s right (for once!).
So we got to visit lots of places in August and have been able to say hello to lots of different people. I do try my best to come and speak to everyone, but sometimes Mum has the cheek to leave me in the campervan and claims she is busy! Busy? How can she be too busy to want to show me off, I just don’t understand it.
Our last event was at Banchory and with it being in August, you didn’t really expect the weather to be that bad? I know you shouldn’t expect anything when it comes to our weather but torrential rain and thunderstorms was a little too much, don’t you think? Mum and Auntie Angela got absolutely soaked while we were all nice and dry eating our lunch with Dad and Uncle Mike. We weren’t to know they needed help were we? It was nice and dry in the van.
I am going to tell you a little story now, but you have to promise to keep it to yourself, because I don’t think Mum was too impressed with us. I think it showed ingenuity and a sense of adventure, but Mum and Dad seem to think differently! While we were at the Banchory car show, Mum had decided she was too busy to take me to see everyone. Now I was very concerned that there might be people who wanted to see me, plus I was getting a little bit bored. Well George and I hatched a cunning plan ………….. Needless to say, Mum was a little surprised to see me sitting next to Isla in her campervan when they came back and I got a telling off and we had to go back to our van. But you see the thing is, Mum didn’t think we were really that clever and made the mistake of leaving us alone again! So George and I hatched another plan ……………. who knew flyscreens were that delicate!!
Right, well George and I are off to audition for our upcoming film roles, move over Steve McQueen. Now, where did I leave my teaspoon?
