Well Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas and all the boxer babes out there were as spoilt as me!
Mum said I had a surprise coming! I got so excited thinking about what it could be? A new bed or lots of new toys? Maybe some new treats or lots of delicious biscuits? What could it possibly be? Well “it” arrived one Saturday afternoon and “it” wasn’t anything to eat or sleep on and, as you can see from the photo, it didn’t take long to get into my bed either!! The cheek of him! So; this was my “surprise”, a cute little puppy called Trevor!
Ok, so I have to admit he is cute (but not as cute as me of course,) but boy is he exhausting! He just never stops! Mum says he is deaf and that I am going to have to be a clever big sister and teach him how to be good. Good? I think I can do better than that, I can teach him how to be perfect, just like me. I am letting George help out of course, but he gets too tired running around, so I end up doing all the babysitting, but then I am better at it. Tell you what, he may be a cute puppy now, but boy is he going to be huge! He has the longest legs I have ever seen, so I am going to have to be really nice to him, so he is nice to me when he is bigger than me!
Well, I felt the need to get my own back on Mum for her little “surprise” and plotted my revenge. They do say revenge is a dish best served cold and this definitely counts as cold, very cold! This is Mum just before she took part in the Loony Dook on 1st January at South Queensferry. Her and lots of other volunteers waded into the freezing Firth of Forth to raise funds for Boxer Welfare Scotland! I think they are all mad, and I am very glad that Mum decided not to take me in with her. Not just because of the cold water but, hey, I have my image to think about and that outfit definitely clashes with my style! But I was very proud of her, and everyone else on the day.
So that’s it for January, I guess I had better go and play with Trevor, he is being all cute again and that is very definitely MY job around here! The young whipper snapper needs to learn that!
