I know my blog is normally very happy and full of fun, but to be honest, I don’t feel very happy and full of fun just now. Mum has been telling me about all the poor boxer babes we have lost recently and I just feel so sad.
We are all especially sad at home because we lost my best sister, Millie last month too, so we do know how all those other poor people who have lost their boxer friends are feeling. Millie was a really good sister to me and George and we will both miss her very much. She was a heavy lump, but I loved her, still miss her bossing me and George around!
Everyone at Boxer Welfare Scotland was so upset when poor George died. Mum said that he had been with BWS for ages and that everyone really loved him. Somebody was coming to see him and Petra, but he went away to the bridge two days before. It was so sad, but I know that everyone looked after him really well and Mum said he was a lovely, happy boy. Sadly, we also lost poor Dolly and the beautiful Broxy since my last blog. I know that everyone at Boxer Welfare Scotland will remember them all in their hearts.
So it has been a sad September really and we have to remember that there is always a down side to rescue work, but Mum says thinking about all the boxers that are happy and healthy and in their lovely homes is what makes all the sadness easier to cope with.
I am off to give Mum a cuddle and to remind her that, if it wasn’t for Boxer Welfare Scotland, I wouldn’t be writing this blog and George wouldn’t be able to annoy me like he does!
