Ongoing appeals for help

As a rescue, Boxer Welfare Scotland is passionate about the boxers that come through our care. Sometimes those with health issues need a little extra support. Some of these health problems are ongoing life long conditions that new owners cannot get insurance for and some are dogs who are in permanent foster because their health prevents them being rehomed.

In these cases, Boxer Welfare Scotland is responsible for their vet bills and medication requirements for as long as they are needed. Shown below are some of our ongoing appeals who we continue to support.

Alfie

Alfie came into our care with a number of medical conditions including epilepsy, irritable bowel syndrome and a heart murmur. Alfie has not found his forever yet and is currently in kennels. His epilepsy and IBS are controllable with medication, which Boxer Welfare will pay for even after he is rehomed. Alfie has not suffered any fits since being in our care and his epilepsy is under control, thanks to his monthly medication.

Pippa

Unfortunately poor Pippa has severe epilepsy and Boxer Welfare Scotland help with her vet bills for that condition as her new owner could not get insurance on it. Pippa needs regular blood tests as well as her medication and her monthly vet bills can be anywhere between £30 to £80+.
