A POEM FOR HEATHER
Lucky White Heather
This is the story of Lucky White Heather
The “Doggie Doo” who’s seen all kinds of weather
This beautiful Boxer who’s so full of life
Was introduced to us in the Kingdom of Fife
Now our “Barking Buddy” won’t go for walks
Unless she is promised some Doggie Chocs
When she’s on her lead it needs to be tight
Coz if she sees cats or foxes she’s up for a fight
Her clumsy Daddy took her out on her own
The next thing he knew he had broken a bone
Our Heather is scared of anything that squeaks
When that noise is made she lets out a shriek
She has to be calmed down by Mummy Cheeks
Who has Heather always slobbering on her breeks
Our Heather recently hurt her right eye
The pain was so sore, that she started to cry
For her operation, the price that she paid
Was having to wear that terrible lampshade
She’s now on the mend, and full of fun
She can’t wait to get out and go for a run.
