STATEMENT FROM JARNO TRULLI
We are thrilled that F1's Jarno Trulli has taken the time to give a statement about Boxer Welfare Scotland's work! Jarno has also donated several signed photos for auction - you can see these photos here and find out how to bid for them
Jarno Trulli, born in Pescara, Italy, has been a Formula 1 racing driver for more than 10 years and is currently in his fourth year with his Toyota team. Having won all there was to win in world karting in the early 90s, Jarno won the German F3 championship for the Benetton Junior Team in 1996. He became a Formula 1 driver for the Minardi team in 1997, joining Prost the same year. |
Two years driving for Jordan in 2000/2001 were followed by three years with Renault, which included Jarno’s first victory in Monaco in 2004. At the end of that year he joined Toyota and in 2005 took their first podium and pole positions. Jarno lives in St Moritz, Switzerland with his wife Barbara and sons Enzo and Marco. |
Here is what Jarno Trulli has to say about boxers and Boxer Welfare Scotland ...
The Boxer breed is close to my heart. My family has kept dogs and cats as pets for many years including several Boxer dogs, so I am used to having them around at my parents’ home in Pescara, where they can run around the big garden. Sometimes one or more of them has run with me when I am doing my training. Here are some pictures of me with my dogs Tequila and Kyria, Keba and Asia. I love their energy and intelligence and loyalty. They are great family dogs! My two young sons like very much to watch the dogs running around and showing off! Like me, they are also growing up with Boxer dogs in their lives!
I support the work of Boxer Welfare Scotland: they are doing a good job looking after Boxers which need a new home and taking care of the sick ones.
