STATEMENT FROM KENNY LOGAN
We are delighted that Kenny Logan has been kind enough to provide a statement, endorsing the work we do here at Boxer Welfare Scotland. Kenny also donated a signed copy of the 2008 Strictly Come Dancing annual for auction. Click here to find out how to bid for it!
Kenny Logan, a famous Scottish rugby winger, won 70 caps for his country, over a period of 13 years in international rugby, before retiring after the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Of course Kenny is more recently famous for taking part in BBC's Strictly Come Dancing where he made it through to week nine, placing him 5th in the competition!! His wife, Gabby Logan, also took part in the competition, but was sadly voted off in week four due to very dubious voting! |
Here is Kenny's statement ...
Our boxer, Sydney, is three years old now and a major part of our family. When Boxer Welfare Scotland approached me to put a statement on their website, I was more than happy to do anything I could to help them in their rescue work. Boxers are the most wonderful dogs you could have, they are so loyal and loving and we wouldn’t be without Sydney. It is sad to think that there are so many boxers that have to come in to rescue and I applaud all the hard work that Boxer Welfare Scotland do in rehoming all the unfortunate boxers that come in to their care. |
I know that they do their best for each and every boxer, and make sure that it has the best forever home it could possibly wish for, whatever its circumstances. Once a boxer comes into their care, it is assured their attention for the rest of its life. The welfare of boxers is a great cause and very close to my heart and I hope that Boxer Welfare Scotland keep up their good work for many years to come. Kenny Logan |
