Lola's Story - Stray
Poor little Lola was handed in as a stray to a Police Station. According to the kind people who brought her in, Lola had been seen around for at least two weeks, but goodness knows how long the streets had been her home for. Thankfully they called us and Lola was soon in our care!
All these photos were taken while Lola was in our care, after she had had her first "maleseb" bath to help her skin conditions.
Lola was seen by a vet as soon as we could and the poor wee soul had a serious yeast infection, which had given her really sore paws. She also had an ear infection and some pressure sores on her body, as well as a large area of sores on her chest.
Thankfully, Lola is now in her new home and has a new best friend, Clay, to play with. She has put on weight and is really starting to enjoy life again!

Lola was visited in May 2009 for her follow up check and is thriving in her new home. Her Mum and Dad are just thrilled to have her. Although she still has problems with her skin, she is still doing really well and is best friends with Clay.

Tragically, after only two very happy years in her new home, it was discovered that Lola had stomach cancer and her Mum and Dad had to let her go. They say she was the happiest and most fantastic boxer they had ever met, and we are truly grateful to them for taking Lola into their hearts and home.
