URGENT AND SPECIAL APPEALS
Often at Boxer Welfare Scotland we have dogs that come in to our care that we feel need to be a Special Appeal. This could be because of the dog's age or that he/she isn't good with children. It could just be that they aren't good with other dogs or are a bonded pair. Sometimes it is simply that the boxer isn't coping in kennels and needs an urgent home.
The following boxers are not the only boxers in our care, they are merely our special appeals. Please read ourboxers looking for homespage to find out more about the boxers in our care.
Sophie
Poor Sophie desperately needs a home! Originally the subject of a SSPCA appeal through the BBC, Sophie was rehomed but is now looking for another home. Unfortunately, she managed to eat a tube of steriod cream which resulted in her spending 3 weeks in the vets to recover. With no insurance, her owners felt unable to take on the growing vet bill and Boxer Welfare Scotland stepped and took Sophie back. Sophie is 3 years old and was originally handed in as a stray, so cannot be rehomed with children. Also, Sophie isn't very good with other dogs, so needs to be the only dog in the family.

Blaze
Poor Blaze is 9 years old and has come to us very underweight and with a urine infection. He is recovering from the infection, but is struggling to gain weight whilst in kennels. Blaze is good with children, but has never lived with them. Unfortunatley he is not good with other dogs and WILL need to be the only dog in the home.

Bruno
Bruno is 3 1/2 years old and is looking for a home where there are no other dogs. He is ok with dogs when he meets them, but gets a bit jealous having them around the house and sharing his toys etc! Bruno is a very loving boy, but needs an experienced owner to keep him on track and he also needs a home where there are no children. Bruno will need to be neutered, but Boxer Welfare Scotland will meet the cost of this surgery.

Bruno
Handsome Bruno is 7 years old and is looking for a loving home with older children. He gets on ok with dogs when carefully introduced, but may benefit from being the only dog in the family, although we wouldn't rule out introducing a brother or sister to him. Bruno is great with people, loves playing around and is full of life and energy!
