TARA'S STORY - CRUELTY
Tara was brought to us from a couple who saved her from being thrown over a bridge!! They had caught people dangling, YES DANGLING, her over a bridge. They saved her and brought her to us. The actions of these kind people probably saved Tara's life. It would appear, from later information, that Tara had been supposedly sold, in a pub, for the grand sum of £10!
Pictured below is Tara on the first night that she was taken into rescue by our volunteer Carrie, who fostered her throughout her treatment.
In such a short life she has been through sooo much. The vet also thinks she has had a few litters.
When Tara came to us she was in a sorry state. She was very very thin , but that wasn't her only problem. When Carrie was checking her over she looked in her mouth and found that her incisors were sticking into the roof of her mouth, but was still attached to the root. So off to the vet for an operation went lil Tara.
As if the poor soul hadn't been through enough, she then had to get another operation as she had two lumps on her body. In these pictures the things sticking out of her back are the drains which were needed to stop the blood building up in her body. These dripped blood for a few days after her operation.

Once Tara had recovered sufficiently from her surgery she was off to her new home. It is hard to believe from this photograph that it is the same dog. Tara is well settled now and is extremely happy in her country home!!
