Upcoming Fundraising Events
Here are some upcoming fundraising events we have planned in the near future. Don't forget, we also hold regular microchipping and information days at Pets at Home branches across Scotland.
7th August : North Berwick Highland Games, North Berwick
This will be our first visit to the North Berwick International Highland Games and we are looking forward to holding an event in the Edinburgh area. There will be the usual tombolas and fun, as well as lots of boxers!
8th August : Keith Country Show, Aberdeenshire
This will be our first year at the Keith Country Show. We are hoping it will be a good opportunity to raise more awareness locally, as well as a few pennies!
21st August : Moray Dog Awareness Day, Elgin
Boxer Welfare Scotland have been invited along to a local dog awareness day to help promote responsible ownership locally.The event is similar to the D in the Park event we attended in 2009.
21st August : Marymass Festival, Irvine
We are returning for our 4th year at the Marymass Festival and hope to have as much fun as we did last year! You can see what we got up to here.
21st & 22nd August : Dogs Allowed, Lauder, Scottish Borders
This will be our first outing at a Dogs Allowed event and we are looking forward to going along. Hosted by the Lauderdale Trust, the event is held in the historic grounds of Thirlestane Castle, Lauder in the Scottish Borders
29th August : Vintage & Classic Car Day, Duff House, Banff
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Banff the Vintage & Classic Car day is held at Duff House in Banff and Boxer Welfare Scotland will be there for the first time, with information and some games.
12th September : SVTEC Rally, Scone Palace, Perthshire
Hosted by the Scottish Vintage Tractor and Engine Clubat Scone Palace in Perthshire.Boxer Welfare Scotland will be attending with various items for sale, tombola, hook-a-duck as well as having an entry in the show.
19th September : Selkirk Rally, Scottish Borders
Gates open: 11am - 5pm at Sunderland Hall, Lindean, Selkirk Entry fees: £8 adults £6 concession, Children aged 5 - 16: £1 Children under 5 go free.
23rd October : BWS Coffee Morning, North Berwick
Following hot on the heels of the previous, extremely sucessful, coffee morning at the amazing Hope Rooms in North Berwick, we return for another event to help raise more funds.
Boxers for Boxers - Boxer Welfare Scotland Celebration Day: Ongoing Event
This is all in the very early planning stages, but the plan is to create an annual day where people can wear "boxers shorts for boxer dogs" and help raise funds for Boxer Welfare Scotland. The event is planned for 21st April as that is our mascot's Gotcha Day. Further information to follow. See how Amanda kicked off Boxers for Boxers in 2010
