GLASGOW VET SCHOOL RODEO 2007

The Glasgow Vet School Rodeo is organised every year by The University of Glasgow, Veterinary School and held at the Garscube Estate, Bearsden Rd, Bearsden, Glasgow.

It is a charity event organised by the students of the Glasgow University Veterinary Medical Association. Each year the University chooses which charities will benefit, and this year our rescue, Boxer Welfare Scotland were lucky enough to be included. This was a huge event for us, not only did we manage to raise well in excess of £800 on the day, but we will also get a share in the charitable proceeds made on the day.

A special thank you to Lori, Carrie, Kelly, Katrina, Ellen, Joyce, and Lori's Dad! Everyone worked fantastically on the day and it was a great opportunity to get the volunteers from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Falkirk altogether!

Also well done to all out dogs they were the perfect boxers all day! There were FIVE boxers there behind the stall and they were just great. Not a cross word from any of them even though it was the first time they had all met.

We would also like to thank Burn's Dog food, James Wellbeloved, and Royal Canin for their generousity with free samples to hand out on the day.

Here are some photographs of the volunteers in action and the boxer babes who came to visit us! Some of our visitors were previous rescue boxers and it was great to be able to catch up with them all!!
