Glasgow Vet School Rodeo - 18th April 2009
The annual Glasgow University Veterinary Medical Association (GUVMA) Rodeo is organised by the students at the Vet School. Each year the GUVMA choose charities who will benefit from the proceeds on the day and in 2009 Boxer Welfare Scotland was lucky enough to be chosen. Something we are extremely grateful for and we were lucky enough to receive a further cheque for £1,000 later in the year! Thanks GUVMA!
The weather on the day was wonderful and plenty of people turned up to help support Boxer Welfare Scotland. The BWS stall was manned by a large group of fantastic volunteers who spent many hours organising tombolas, raffles and hampers before the event. Thanks to their hard work, a massive £1,163 was raised on the day - a phenomenal amount! We would just like to say thank you to all those who helped make the event such a success especially "Sheriff" Izzy and her posse; Sarah, Lisa, Richard, Kirsty, Lloyd, and Amanda. Also a huge thank you to everyone who came along on the day to help out.
We are also very grateful to Tracy Jones and Nikki Forbes from The Glenbrae Vet Clinic who came along on the day to oversee our microchipping.
