Linda's Story - Puppy Farm
In April 2011 we heard about two boxers in Ireland who were due to be put to sleep, we tried for serveral days to organise a way to get them out of the shelter and over into our care.
We arranged for two of our volunteers to travel by ferry to Ireland to collect them. Once we got them into our care it was apparant that the old girl need vet care. We took her to the vet and found out that she had several mammary tumors, a very bad ear, epulis, possibly lung worm, a very bad cough, inverted eyelashes and she had been used as a breeding machine.
Despite all this she was a lovely natured girl. In the end we had no choice but to let her go to the bridge. It's heart breaking when we can no save them, especially after such a hard life.
This beautiful girl had a relaxed night in a loving home before going to the bridge where she will suffer no more. We named her Linda after the volunteer who collected her in Ireland.
