Amazing Fund Raising Event
I was so excited when I heard we were going to the Glasgow Vet School Rodeo again this year. This is the third year running that Boxer Welfare Scotland has been invited to come along and have a share in the proceeds. Unfortunately Mum said we couldn’t go as it would be a very long journey and day for us and that it would be too stressful, but she promised to bring us back some treats, so I let her go.
It was probably a good idea I didn’t go as I would have enjoyed chasing Scooby around the field all day. Lloyd did a fantastic job and Mum said Richard looked great in his bucking bronco outfit! I often wonder if folk realise what my Mum will get them landed in when they volunteer for Boxer Welfare Scotland.
Apparently the whole day was a huge success and we had lots of visitors, of course most of them wanted to ask about me, but who can blame them. Mum said they raised just over £1,100 which is just amazing!
Being serious for a moment, I have to point out that these events are mainly to help people understand exactly what Boxer Welfare Scotland does and to help find homes for boxers who need them. I remember needing my home and wondering if anyone would ever love me how I should be loved. I also remember feeling so happy when I knew I was staying with my Mum & Dad and George and Millie. Even when I chew my bed, my Mum still loves me and that’s how it should be. I really hope poor Sophie can find her new home soon too as she looks so beautiful and is a very lovely boxer girl. Poor Sophie has a bad heart so really needs a special home.
Looking at the photos though, I think it might have been a good idea for me to go along and keep an eye on Mum.
Honestly, she says I can’t be trusted to behave in public! Thankfully, Mum decided to wash off the paw prints and take the cowboy hat off for travelling home. Can you image what her and Auntie Karen would have looked like on the train dressed like that – so much for giving BWS a good impression.
Right I am off to chew another bed, I think Mum has just ordered a new one for me, but I don’t think she realises I just think they are big chewy toys!
Lots of licks

Lucy, you are so funny! Your mum and Auntie Karen did a great job coming so far.
It was a great day, lots of pennies raised to care for all the lovely boxers till they are
as lucky as you to get a forever home. Now no more bed chewing till next month.
