Young at Heart - Silver Haired angels

When adopting a boxer, why not consider taking on an oldie that needs some love and comfort in the later years of their lives. Over the years we have rehomed several older babes and the joy they bring to those around them is immeasurable.

Our gratitude goes out to those special adopters who take an older boxer into their hearts and homes, although most say that they are the ones who feel lucky to have such wonderful characters in their lives.

Spice - Rehomed at 9 years old
I was so lucky to have the honour of adopting this handsome old boy. He came into our home to join my 2 other boxers Kira and Starr who at the time were 2 1/2 and full of nonesense. Spice came to me with a lot of baggage from his previous home, but under the circumstanses he coped very well. He has calmed down the other 2 by being the dominate male, but he is the gentle giant.

He is my constant companion and no matter where I am in the house or garden you will find Spice lying at my feet. When I go out to work or to do some shopping I have been told that he sits and pines for me and when I come home he "jumps like Tiggr" on all fours until I come through the door. When I answer the door, he always has to push himself infront of me so when I open the door the first one there is Spice and visitors take a step back. He is a very quiet dog and gets on well with other dogs and they all come over and lick his muzzle.

I have never been so lucky to have a dog like him and I will love him forever. He is my protector, and my best friend.
